Poem -

Maybe One Day

Maybe One Day

Caught in clouds of dust filled hopes
I drag these weighted dreams which hold no meaning...for they have lost their gleam
I sit within a timeless choke, detached from waking life
I have broke my will inside to try and dive into that ever transforming ocean
Its turbulent waves crave my existence...yet I shall not risk another intrepid dip into its alluring waters
For I have weary bones,
which creak and rattle from all the battles thrown, and blown my way
Focususing through this aimless mist of echoed mornfulness
I resist anymore downhill thinking
Leave the sinking ship to its ill fate
I'll cast a new net with fresh bait
Then maybe the waters shall finally surface
The clarity my mind has sought to find
Maybe then I will gain the means to make new dreams
Where I might find the strength inside, to dip a toe into a gentle wave
Savour some of life's real flavour...yes maybe one day... I'll be brave

I hope, your hope, your wish and plea is eventually realised Gwen .. and the fact you posted it here for all to see, serves as a permanent reminder of how you must think, feel and be .. for yes you got it .. all eternity ..

Sorry couldn't resist .. sometimes, my imagination takes a breather and then the pen takes over ..

A smashing, both elegant & refined read this mane with my toast and marmalade, that is .. if you don't mind me saying so ..

Neville :)

Gwen reads like a dream and where would we be without our dreams?
Those we see when asleep and those we aspire to when awake.
Another beautiful write and  one never expects anything less from you my friend and this piece is right up there with so many more you share.
I wish you well Gwen and thank you for writing absolute poetry class and a poem that softly lingers.
Your friend, Shaun.x.
