Me And Aphrodite

I beat Sir Edmond Hillary, who conquered Mount Everest first;
For I climbed to the peak of the universe, to quench my sad souls thirst!
When I arrived, I went to put my flag up, and look down upon the world;
And you were waiting there to greet me, as my flag I then unfurled!
I knew you were Aphrodite, the Goddess of all my dreams;
I stood by you in amazement, engulfed in the blazing suns hot beams!
The passion that I felt for you, I’d never known before;
I chanced my vulnerability, and said “I’ll love you evermore”!
I closed my eyes not knowing fate, for Aphrodite had stole my heart;
And then, my wildest dreams came true, when you said we’d never part!
For you told me that you’d been watching me, from the first day of my quest;
And you liked what you were seeing, this man, and his stern test!
So you decided at that moment, that if unaided, I made it to the top;
That you’d bestow me with your eternal love, and time would never stop!
So when I got there, you gently kissed me, and I never was the same;
And we wed up there that morning, as Aphrodite took my name!
