Meadowlark

Meadowlark

O’ tis heartfelt prayer
Serenade in balmy air
Betwixt canopy green
β€˜Neath neon deity Selene

Plead dame meadowlark
Seek ardor in festoon dark
Call forth beloved true
Alight upon heart so blue

Birds of downy feather
On bough flock together
Leaves comfort sweeps
Rock gently as one weeps

Harken distant call
Remedy desolate pall
Lonesome tis he too
Gent bids solitude adieu
