Medieval Quandary: What Do You with an Unemployed Knight?

Medieval Quandary: What Do You with an Unemployed Knight?

To my knight in shining armor this I sing,
For thou hath forever protected me.
With a strong sword that thou didst bring
To protect the realm as far as one can see.
But now, in retirement can thou live.
Thou need to hang it all up and just go.
There are no more dragons to give,
For their fires thou did all quell so.
Always in protection, I still have need
To protect me from every jab and wrong.
Today there are other dragons, indeed,
So I shall not make the new list long:
Bosses, drivers, taxmen, bouncers, hackers;
Oh no! Please bring the real dragons back!
