Melancholy

Melancholy

Forlorn I wander in the rain,
Through caliginous sod and mired stone,
In flee of quarell & needless pain,
To lay up on a slab atone.

Abated happenstance, I lay succumbed,
Repenting poignant days of past,
Lacking breath n moribund,Β
T'was always borrowed & never meant to last.
