I find in everything I do
and at everything I look
sweet memories of me and you
and the oath of friendship we took.

I sleep with you and wake with you
even though you are not here
my mind is filled with thoughts of you
your voice whispers in my ear.

But it is not because I love you less
than when our eyes first met
but to lessen both our hearts' stress
that I keep away.
