Poem -

Missing Sam

I miss his twinkling, silver, smile-crinkled eyes
his broad-shoulders and sexy, sauntering walk,
my own heart's thudding, pulsating response
to the bleep of my phone heralding early morning
messages and good-morning greetings.
I miss feeling young, alive and expectant -
of warm, sweet-tasting kisses, gently probing
tongues and our naked embraces -
my slim, pale smoothness entwined with his
darker, hair roughened musky stength.

I miss his easy friendship and ready affection
I miss Sam.

BLOSSOM

Kim I really liked the honesty in this write. Ā I envisaged all that you said, you conveyed your emotion with truth and clarity and portrayed his image wonderfully, I too felt your loss of his companionship. Ā Moving someone and putting them in 'your place' for even just a small moment in timeĀ is what good writing is all about. Ā A lovely piece, I really like your writing in this style. Ā Keep them coming. Ā A most encouraging vote and nomination from me:)
