MEN AND WOMEN TODAY

 
For a lady the men of today don't open doors
For a man the ladies of today don't sweep floors
All so different from not so many years ago 
Old fashioned values are no longer on show

Men are no longer the earners and breadwinners 
Women no longer at home making their dinners 
Are these things right I cannot possibly say 
So much change in the world we live today 

I remember the time when my dad was alive 
Worked all hours and certainly not nine to five 
Mum would be at home with a meal prepared
Nowadays all the tasks are so equally shared
