Mending A Broken Heart

Mending A Broken Heart

How does one mend a broken heart
When tears cloud your vision
A hurt so intense, no desire to keep living
Feels like a painful incision

The answer is not easy to deal with
To forget it and just move on
Forgiveness helps but passion remains
Knowing there's still life beyond

In the annals of human experiences
Rejection's an unbearable pain
The only thing left is to carry forward
Feel the warm of the sun again

We mustn't let hurt impede our desire
To find true love down the road
Another new path yet to be discovered
Have faith in the powers that flow
