When I woke up this morning
Her name on my lips
Could have been, I was still dreaming
But not with a Message like this:
       -she speaks-
"I love you even when you're trying too hard to be pleasing
and even when you don't call, when you said you would
I know you're trying so hard to come to me
disobeying all the advice that Doctor's have given you
I love you when you're lost in your relentless spirituality
because I know you're talking to God
and trying so hard to make it here to me
There's nothing you could do, to make me think, you forgot
because I can feel your love on the phone, invading me
You're in my soul, and in between the lines of my poetry
You're in the way that I miss you so
I just left you this message so that you would know
That when the STARS shine in the daytime
and when the SUN warms my soul in the night
It's the IMPOSSIBLE that makes it so very clear to me
that you're fighting your way here, to be next to me
when I sleep, so you can watch over me
and make my sleep more than comforting
You want to help me smile in my dreams of you
So that when I awaken, I'll be next to you
smiling the smile I've been wanting to
since the very first time I suspected, there existed
A perfect kind of Love........"
