MIDDLE AGED CRISIS

Yes I am thereÂ
In a place once thought distantÂ
And far, far away.
No one told me of its fatigues
Hot flashes, memory loss, and tirednessÂ
Just to name a few symptomsÂ
That one experience in a middle aged crisis.
Trying very hard to make right the wrongsÂ
Having to deal with the futureÂ
While life pass is captured in love songs.
Feeling very youthful and young at heartÂ
But its not difficult to see
Your body is falling apart.
Trying to keep up with this fast paced worldÂ
Computer age and cyber spaceÂ
While old friends and love onesÂ
Vanish without a trace.
Children grown but still living at homeÂ
Now its you that must adjust to their way of lifeÂ
Sons having husbandsÂ
And daughters having wives.
This is one part of lifeÂ
I had hoped to missÂ
The weary days and tired some nightsÂ
Of middle aged crisis.
