Midnight Hour

Time slowly ticks as the stars
fade in the midnight hour
The wind howls in the darknessΒ
of the midnight hour
The trees sway back and forth
with the fury of the wind
Sending the green leaves to
flutter in the darkness of the night
Β
The sound of laughter fades inΒ
the midnight hour
As the time slowly fades with
the passing of the wind
Flames slowly rise with the burningΒ
of the old oak limbsΒ
That has been planted with memoriesΒ
of the past and presentΒ

This is the night that death shall
rise from his tomb beneath
With the smell of rotten flesh that
lingers beneath the pale moon light
The ground trembles as the spirts
come forth in the midnight hour
For the time has come for death
to rise and claim his prizeΒ
