Midnight Kiss

Midnight Kiss

The blanket of night drapes the sky as you lay by my side,
My head lays on your chest and your hand rests in mine,
I’m your embrace I feel at home,
In your arms I don’t feel alone.
I look up to see your face,
My heart begins to race,
A single breath and a brush of the lips,
Leads to the perfect kiss.
I pull you as closely as you can be,
The way we fit so perfectly,
We pull away and I look at you,
There’s no words for how much I love you.
When morning comes we have to leave,
And that thought makes it hard to breathe,
But as the sun rises and we depart,
I hold you still in my heart.
