Midnight Walk

Midnight Walk

Through the graveyard she walks

Midnight draws near

Howls and squeals

Add to her fear

She quickens her step

Her breath now on hold

Her aggressor draws close

A nightmare unfolds

Clocktower strikes twelve

Dead start to rise

Zombies and ghouls

Now by her side

She stifles a scream

Feared by her fate

Wracking her brains

To plot an escape

Stomach starts churning

Her body grows weak

She tries to protest

Her future looks bleak

She falls to the floor

Collapsed in a heap

Death getting closer

She finds herself weep

A voice from the crowd

Curbing her fright

Happy Halloween

Have a goodnight
