The Mighty Snowman

Summertime just past us by,

then fall colors caught our eye.

Now it’s winter here again,

The time has come to make snowmen.

They get bigger every year,

filled with Santa’s winter cheer.

Lips of buttons eyes the same,

missing scarfs with kids to blame.

Rolling snow so big and round,

building bodies up from the ground.

Bottoms, bellies, heads so high,

they seem to reach and touch the sky.

The kids all try to have the best,

all are different from the rest.

Some like mountains standing tall,

others just one tiny ball.

Soon they’ll melt and turn to rain,

All the kids work goes with pain.

But the kids will last until next year.

Winters next will soon be here…….
