mind death
mind deathÂ
a death so cruel you are alive to experience itÂ
a death of the mental and spiritual bodyÂ
and the life of the brain and fleshÂ
the cruelest torture ever inflictedÂ
leaving you to parent your rebirthed selfÂ
to tend to the etherian youve reformedÂ
to ictuate with your thoughts and intertwine them with othersÂ
while still being left in vacivityÂ
an endless outer body pool you won’t stop drowning inÂ
the cruelest part of this deathÂ
is you don’t even get to dieÂ
i now no longer fear the loss of lifeÂ
for that is not death to meÂ
that is freedomÂ

This is a very deep and it has to be said somewhat disturbing piece given its subject matter. That takes nothing away from its subject matter or the words you use in it. Not ashamed to confess you had me running for Google as regards etherian and ictuate. I had encountered vacivity before. I like it when a piece introduces me to new words. You scatter lines throughout to reinforce the point of the poem. "A death so cruel you are alive to experience it." "The cruelest torture ever inflicted." "The cruelest part of this death is that you don't even get to die." The end is really well expressed.Â
thankyou so much i’m so glad you enjoyed it, and yes it is disturbing in a way however i believe that all poetry light or dark is unusual in a way and that’s what makes it so intriguing and beautiful.
You are right in what you say about all poetry whether light or dark. A poem is of the person who wrote it at the time they wrote it. It marks a moment in time.Â
Extremely relatable and well written. Hugs x
