Poem -

Mind of a Young Black Female

Life can't be all sunshine and roses
Because the one at the end of the race always loses
You tell me to sit here and count my praises
But the white man is the one getting the raises
Positivity is suppose to lead to a brighter future
Yet and still I'm the one driving the Uber
What happened to making lemonade with the lemons
But I'm sitting in jail with 10 felons
And after all I go through
I'm still trying to start new
Life may not always be great
But I stil refuse to spread hate.
