Mind's Great Ocean

On my mind series

Mind's Great Ocean

I close my eyes and you are dead
on opening them
you are right there in front of me
like a ghost from a previous life?
Ā and in every corner
you are sitting on the fig tree bold as brass
and in the dark muddy tunnels
Ā with the groundhogs
you are flashing before me
when I blink
you are alive when my eyes are wide open
but when I close them
you are dead.

Hello dear Rory, I've been most inspired of late by the poetry of Sylvia Plath, who I have recently started reading, I seem to have a deep understanding of her work, and I'm delighted she can inspire my own scribbles.Ā  Watch this space my friend. Loving her quotes too. 🌹 I hope all is well down your way 🦘 šŸ¤—
