"Mine to Save!"

"These days are very slowly,
coming to pass.
While I was high I always wanted,
them to last,
but doing drugs isn't fun,
any fun anymore.
I am now ready to see,
what my life has in store,
for me.

My mind in that blurry, foggy, mist,
had become so redundant,
it made me want to open up my wrists,
in defiance of God,
and all He wished,
for me.

I didn't want to live.
I wanted to die.
I was just using those drugs,
to stretch out my goodbye.
To say all the things I needed to say,
to those people I love,
before I was dead,
but now I am crawling out of my grave,
because I have only one life,
and it's mine to save!"
