MINNIE THE MINX AND DESPERATE DAN

This tale of love is of Minnie the Minx and Desperate Dan
He ate cow pies to prove to Minnie he was a real he-man
Both of them were comic idols when I was a boy
They gave me such enjoyment, laughter and joy

Dan appeared in Dandy and Minnie in the Beano
Minnie was always in trouble I'm sure you know
She was considered wild as wild can be
Dan however thought she was amazing and lovely

This rhyme is fictitious I'm sorry to say
Minnie and Dan never had their wicked way
If they did kids of my generation would complain and tut
Comics are not intended to be full of smut
