Mirror, Mirror

A reflection in the water of the trees and of me, like a mirror in the lake, it watches me
I pass by the windows on a busy street, the reflections in the glass, it watches me
As I pick up my spoon, it shines of silver, I can see my eye reflected on the ladle, it watches me
I polish my old brass bed, I see my face appear, I lay down to rest, above my head the headboard watches me
My television is turned off, but the screen picks up images of me, it watches me
Mirrors at the circus carnival surround me, I look short, I look tall, I get closer, I grow bigger, I get farther, I get smaller, it watches me
I brush my hair, sitting, looking into my vanity mirror, my every movement a mimic, it watches me
A heavy rain, now rain puddles on the ground, I look down, I see myself, it watches me
A dimmed light in the evening, my shadow appears on the walls, it moves when I move, it watches me
A reflection is a wonderous, amazing thing, like a memory, it appears and it later disappears, then reappears
My memory will reflect all the beauty of the world, the love and the life we breathe, as God watches me
Mirror, Mirror on the wall, watch me, keep me safe, my mind reflects all
Thank you for seeing me, For me
