Misanthropy

Misanthropy

Tired, tired now I am
of endless chatter barren of thought
such idle rhetoric spawns in soul,
my misanthropic virtue

Abstract, abstract is the life
captivated, constipated, manipulated hoardes
such euphonic, moronic monologue of mouth,
my misanthropic reason

Anxious, anxious are the youth
advocates of plenty but self entitled serfs
indentured to invention
their folly laid bare,
my misanthropic sentiment

Populist, populist are the masses
equality sought but little shared
emotive hysteria on every turn,
my misanthropic reality

Deceit, deceit a trait of many
social media, social gurus, social deviants all
discombobulation shelters many,
my misanthropic thought

Decadent, decadent lies the soul
knows too much, believes in little
such charlatans walk with despair,
but never my misanthropic self.
