Poem -

Misery at its smallest

He has left once again

With a woman known well

But also nameless

Her scent smothers your bed

And the stains from her cherry lips

Washed from his shirt

Help dirty your children’s socks

She has called

Knows you are home

Waves her hand in your face

While keeping it miles away

You clutch at this emotion

Hope love is enough

To keep you standing

While she lies in your sheets
