Missing Pieces

Missing Pieces

I can’t complete my jigsaw
When there are missing pieces
They’ve gone for ever more
And my grief, it never ceases

First we lost a precious piece
After 3 weeks, then another
These two missing pieces
Are my sister and my mother

Life no longer feels complete
Since the pieces have been gone
I have to paint a smile
And somehow carry on

The jigsaw will be whole again
But now the time’s not right
It will be when God decides
I say my final goodnight

So for now I’ll live my life
With the puzzle incomplete
I’ll wait patiently until its time
Till my loved ones again I meet
