Missing Words

Sat at my desk
Words flowing free
I write them all down
For people to see
I read what I’ve wrote
Correcting mistakes
Ready to print
In the moment I wake
When morning breaks
Something’s not right
My words have been stolen
As I slept through the night
The page that I wrote on
Is lying there bare
The poem I wrote
No longer there
I sit there confused
My face hosts a frown
Am I going mad
Did I write those words down
Wracking my brains
I try to think back
Recalling the words
Written in black
As I look for my pen
A sight caught my eye
There on my desk
Ink blots now dry
I followed the tracks
Of the words I had scrawled
Those mischievous words
From my page had all crawled
As the house sat in silence
The words went to play
Falling a sleep
In the light of the day
My page lying empty
I pick up my pen
Returning the words
To my page once again

This a very interesting and compelling write, with a nice rhythmic pattern, I believe we have never met but after reading this I'll be sure to check out more of your work great job, the words of a mere onlooker

Thankyou C O To be honest I have been absent from Cosmo for a while. Thought I would reintroduce myself and see how things go. I hope you enjoy more of what you find
