Mistakes in Bone

Mistakes in Bone

What if my feelings were to be shown
And all of my mistakes were engraved in bone
It might be entertaining for some
But I hope I’m not the only one

For my feelings to be polished and shined
It might show the times I lied
To be displayed in a case of glass
I hope it would be the last

They bring people to come and stare
Shocked of the things I have dared
They murmur and tell their kid
β€œThese are the people to get rid”

Once they leave the lights go dark
It is time for the crying to start
Because I’m here all alone
With my mistakes engraved in bone

For starting now the time began
All the times I decided to stand
I will change for them to see
That this is the true me
