Moderation Is Key (Sobriety Writing)

Thirty Four Years

Feels More Like Sixty Eight

From Not Knowing Moderation

To Staying Out To Late

I Never Stopped Running

In A Life, Where Walking

Leads To The Same Place

Trying, To Have It All At Once

Instead Of Taking It In, One At A Time

Loving, More Than I Could Love

Spreading Me Thin, To

A Point Of Loving No More

Having, And Trying, And Using

Whatever Fit My Need At That Certain Point

Only To Burn Out ToΒ Quickly

From To Much Experience

Remembered In These Memories

My Eyes, Having Seen It All

So Young, What Left To See

A Heart That's Full

From A Mind Too Empty

By A Soul, That's Said Enough

Thirty Four Years

Feels More Like, Sixty Eight

I Think, I Might, Be Running On Empty.....
