Poem -

momentary lapse.

We live in a world full of aging
Out of date milk and air pressed chips
Gravity baring time upon walking hips,

A body carrying fresh dreams
Just lacking the ability to run so fast
Stepping off the edge

Somewhere between the new and the past,
Its true that nothing lasts forever

Changing wind, freezing rain

A minute frozen wherever,

But the heart lives on with much to gain

Beyond the turmoil, beyond the pain

We eventually let go to begin again
A rejuvenated soul with wings to fly

Just a momentary lapse
before we reach for the sky,

such dreams shall never die
reaching out beyond the body

A dreaming soul is why.
