You need to make your money
Need some way to survive
Nailed to your jobs
Still taking on the sly
Keeping our heads above water
Just inches into the sky
Working so hard the way you do
Sometimes picking on the poor
Money still talks about you
Left with no patience
Barely breathing
In this empty place
In this money zoo
This is all we have to face

Deep in the money zoo
Where some never care
They take less time
To go and get their share
Some monkeys have peanuts
Not a penny to spare
Others have more than plenty
But they can afford to wait
Even the pigs and the badgers
Follow the same debate
Birds of all ages
Fall foul to their standards
Cornered in their evil ways
Deep down in this jungle
The hyenas tune it plays
Laughing at the skint lion
There on the ground where it lays
Here in the money zoo
Listening to what no one has to say
I guess you’re alright jack
But I’ve had better days
