Poem -

Monster

Wake me up before I am dead, keep the monsters out of my head.

Sleep tight little one keep your dreams at bay
Before the monsters come out and play
I am the monster who is your every dread
I am the monster who will leave you stone dead

I am the monster under your bed
I am the monster who waits to be fed
I am the monster who comes out at night
I am the monster who turns out the light.

I am the monster who will leave you bleeding
Haven't you heard your sister screaming?
I am a monster you never know where I have been because you'll be on a rack with a knife in your back.

I am the monster who is your every dread
I am the monster who will leave you stone dead.
