Moonchild

inspired by Marions poem "man in the moon"

Moonchild

Mommy dearest me
Bonny tis all to see
Come child take my hand
We can build castles in silty sand

But mommy Iβ€˜ll catch falling stars
Wishing for no more pain that mars
But child you may fall
You know I’ll catch you after all

Moonbeams on which I stand
Air up here tis so grand
But child you must wait patiently
You weren’t meant to go before me

Mommy it’ll be okay
There’s so many places for me to play
But child please don’t leave
I’m not quite ready to grieve

Little heart refuses to beat
Silence tis all that shall greet
So cold tis little hand
Heartbroken here I stand
