The Moonflower of Doubt

The Moonflower of Doubt

When a blue night is upon you the moonflower may bloom,
It delicately sows angst in the mind where there’s room,
Insecurity whispers that separation breeds doubt,
That shared dreams of the future might drive her love out,
Apprehension afar even love might forget,
Distrust says her heart someone else has now met,
But night fades to day… the bloom closes and dies,
Just misplaced doubt starved of love and its highs.
