Poem -

Moonlight.

Moonlight.

The gently flowing waters of a quiet country stream
That gurgle soft and cheerfully 'neath moonlight's silver glow,
The welcome lights from windows bright that beckon us to go,
To go and share this moonlit night, its silver shining streams;
Its diamond stars on velvet skies, its diaphanous moonbeams.
Watch clouds piled high like pillows soft upon the distant hills,
To listen to the nightingale, and by its song be thrilled.
To smell the scent of jasmine sweet that floats upon the breezes,
To see it tangled round the porch, it twists there and it teases.
To see the waters of a lake all shining silver bright,
To hear an owl hoot loud and clear, melodious on the night.
Moonlight creates a magic place, vibrant, crisp, and clear,
Hear distant church bells softly chime, and wish  that you were here.
