Mother

Mother

Why do we destroy our trees?
Mother Earth cannot breathe.
Why do we poison our water?
Mother earth cannot drink.
Why do we pollute our air?
Mother Earth cannot see.
Mother, weeps and so we have floods,
Mother, perspires and so we have forest fires,
Mother, goes hungry and so we have famine,
We only have one mother.
Give her air to breathe,
Give her water to drink,
Clear the air so she can see,
Give her food so she can eat.
We should cherish our mother,
She is like no other.
