Poem -

For Mother Mary

You held out your heart

When I couldn't go on

You didn't ask who or

Where I was from

You took all my fears

And swallowed my pain

I gave you a bunch

of two dozen tears

You showed me the way

To love once again

You touched my hair

And kissed my brow

You brought me forgiveness

Like a mother knows how

I left the church and

My troubles behind

Mother mary made me see

When I was so blind
