Mother Nature Cries
 
 
Mother Nature is under global human attack
Fear it will become too late to turn the clocks back
 
Graceful elephants slaughtered for their ivory tusks
To help save them it is up to each one of us
 
We’re pushing the ocean’s fish to the endless brink
Hasn’t the time already come to sit down and think?
 
Precious killer whales no longer have anywhere to go
 And flowers of hope seem to be buried in the snow
 
Big game hunters just want trophies on their walls
I feel for the innocent animals who had to fall
 
God’s four legged creatures hunted for their fur
How much more can Mother Nature endure
 
Oil is quickly polluting the world’s ocean shores
And the oil companies just keep on drilling for more
 
In many counties around the world war wages on
It will be coming soon that any sign of peace is gone
 
Man is contaminating the world’s water supply
Everyday hundreds more innocents die
 
Corrupt governments practice an ethnic cleanse
From her wounds will planet earth ever mend
 
So many in the world are wanting basic human rights
Have to lace up the gloves, get into the ring and fight
 
Dark clouds of pollution choke our cities streets
Are you just going to roll over in self-defeat?
 
Millions of hungry children starving for food
World’s corrupt governments are up to no good
 
The rich corporation’s fight over oil and gold
This world’s no place for the weak or the old
 
Mother Nature’s trees put to death at an alarming rate
They will all be gone should we choose to hesitate
 
For the love of money is truly the root of all evil
This planet has become like the work of the devil
 
Mother Nature cries a river of tears flowing to the sea
She wants her people to live in peace and her creatures roam free
 
I try to imagine the world becoming a peaceful, caring place
But the eve present footprints of man I cannot erase
