Poem -

Mother Nature Winter Time

The children come and go as they please
I sit here full of disease
The life I've led has helped with this
I miss my children I miss their kiss
We disintegrate as we age destined for a few words on a page
My children will read them aloud, to a crowd
What will they say when it's my day
What goes after for me I'd like to know
Something, nothing............
The children return no time to dwell
My joy returns for a short spell
They are my life, they are my soul
I cannot keep them, they cannot stay
I might live to see them forΒ  one more day.
