Motionless in white
I lay here in my dreams
As you hang over me,
Motionless in white,
My fear I try to hide
But you make my
Skin creep,
Eyes weep,
I feel the grief,
And sense that you're cold and lonely,
Why is it you hang here?
Grasping on to life,
You will not let go
You need to travel to the other side
And transcend
And reincarnate,
Into a born again state,
Instead I lay here in my dreams
With you hanging over me,
Motionless in white,
My fear I try to hide
But you make my
Skin creep,
Eyes weep,
I feel the grief,
And sense that you're cold and lonely.

Banal, subdued entities such as the one you've described here do not cause me any eerie alarm or creepy feelings whatsoever, Fauxcroft. They're relatively harmless as they simply hover and stare at you.
They mean no harm. They're simply confused as to which way they are supposed to go. In many cases they aren't even aware that they're dead.
Now, poltergeists on the other hand, well...they're ghosts of a different colour.
Nicely penned and well expressed.
