~ MOUNTAIN ~

Once, a bump upon the ocean's floor
From a root, nothing more
With time and pressure
Evoking earth changes
It is weened upon the light of day
Where it grows to devour the eye with majesty
With life-giving waters melting from its shoulders
It sways to the music of mother nature
And dances as a paternal conductor
Of symphonic balance
One might surmise that waiting within its DNA
Is painted the entire history of the world
Perhaps that of the cosmos
And all that entails...

Oh sweet master of Intelligent Design
If I make the climb
And greet you at its pinnacle
Will you be my salvation
