Mouth of brook still

Mouth of brook still

Still
I spill my waters
endlessly
into the wide ocean,

keeping none
for the land.

Mouth of brook
for ever beached,
till
a man

came (lost at land,
coming up for water)
and built us
a circle of stones,

mating land
to sea,
to see himself
in us all<

the lost man
befriended a dog
in our circle of brook,
beach and waves.

Thank you, I wrote sth similar back in 1998, some 30k from Skibbereen. It is a revisiting of the same kind of setting,
But the picture was taken 25 years agoπŸ€”πŸ“
