MUM'S TIPPLE

She had a swig when we were not looking
In the kitchen while she did the cooking
A crafty little guzzle when no one was around
Opened the bottle without making a sound

Mum's favourite tipple was vodka or gin
Drinking alcohol to her was no crime or sin
After all she lived to the age of ninety three
So alcohol is not as bad as its made out to be

A tipple now and again is okay all in moderation
Go easy though in happiness and celebration
