Murder

Murder

A murder I committed,
A soul that I stole,
And now I have admitted,
For it has caused a hole,
I dug a grave for that soul,
Locked six feet under the ground,
It was never a goal,
It occurred with no sound,
Sits silent while blood drips,
Deep darkness comes near,
A mask that’s losing its grips,
Hands reaching through the tear,
Uneasy feelings for the silent dawns,
An eye that sees none,
Days filled with frowns,
It comes to see the sun that I took down,
A heart that can’t handle,
Visions of memories that were once gone,
It reaches for the unlit candle,
Fear shakes and breaks,
Light brightens the day,
From underground to lakes,
It’s back, the soul that I have slayed.
