My 60 th Birthday ❤️

I woke up thru the night infact I hadn’t slept a wink
Too excited & curious about my pressies I think

It was a ‘Biggie’ birthday so a special occasion
My 60 th years on the ‘Circle of life’s’ duration

Well I couldn’t believe it, white, thick snow covered the ground
I hadn’t realised it was heavy snow coz there wasn’t a sound

In 60 years I’ve never, ever seen snow on my birthday
I hate the stuff with vengeance
I ‘ve really gotta say

Haha I wasn’t allowed in the kitchen
My daughter’s & Hubby was preparing the way
With helium balloons/banners saying sixty today

When I got into my kitchen
There was six laminates all waiting on me
Displaying all my presents
For me to look at & see

My friends bought me pressies & flowers delivered to my door
I was absolutely ruined yesterday 
I couldn’t have wished for more

I was in ‘Cloud cuckoo land’ 
My pressies was amazing
Holiday cruises & allsorts for my jubilation

I have been totally blessed
Such a lot to look forward to
So many new places to visit
& lots of exciting things to do

Then that evening my family & I
drove to  ‘The White Swan’ 
for a lovely meal at a village nearby

The snow had almost thawed so that was okay
But then it hailed & thunder-clapped
All on my special, most memorable birthday

So I am looking forward to my holidays away 
All to new destinations 
travelling on the sea I have to say

How lucky am I ?
Tho I was dreading being 6 0
It’s not that bad after all
