IN MY ARMS

IN MY ARMS
Ricardo Antonio Garcia
Under the belly of my boat
the gentle wakes make sounds
and between the Gulls and halyards
I feel that my Soul
has transmuted heavens bound.
The pattering
of your thoughts taps me
like and old friend
with a hand on my shoulder
knowing that time
has made us much older.
A fog from the Cape
still rings quietly in my ears
and I think
about yesterday’s fears.
You looking outside a window
wearing a hat
its ribbon swayed in the wind
and I thought I lost my mind
floating in eternal time.
Never eyes so beautiful
or hair so glistening
the majesty of your breath
made me one with you.
Your body so right
adjusted my height to a door
I had never seen before.
Honesty and harmony
walk with you through this maze
through the thick
and through the rainy haze.
My lips hunger for you
whose impressions are sacred
and whose touch
alarms the horns of heaven.
A ships window
encircles the frame of your miracles
for you have blessed me.
Wherever there is sea
and wherever there is me
I will look upon you
and give you all of myself.
Even now the wake
is leading me to where I shall take
you in my arms …
