My cemetery walk

My cemetery walk

One day I was walking in thisĀ  cemetery among the graves in the shadows of the trees I could feel the breeze,

I stop to read a grave or two andĀ  I sat on a bench among the trees and watch the birds and the animals,

old man said can I sit down I said yes he told me he came every day to see his wife he told me his name he told me his wife name and showed me her grave,

And then a breeze came up and the dog ran by I turned looked And back at the old man was gone I look to see where he was and looked at his grave I shook my head I couldnā€™t believe she Died in the 1922 and he died in the 1935 so I asked did anybody see the man that was sitting with me They said no heā€™s dead TheyĀ said that for years he came to see his wife before he died and he still coming to see her, just then I felt a cold wind and I walked the cemetery little more before I left it started rain I was in a little pain I walked out of the cemetery
my cemetery walk.

Greg a quite sad yet still eerily unsettling narrative you've woven and beautifully presented.
And does the name Brompton Cemetery ring any bells, for this might be the Kensington one you may be trying to remember.
Full honours my friend and one which you have written that makes a lasting ethereal impression.

Greg, many thanks and I know of it but never passed through just driven on its outskirts a few times and its a big area.
It just projects eerieness on a winter's night and London offers a great time for all, there's so much on offer and glad you had a wonderful time visiting both.
