My daisy chain 💕

My daisy chain 💕

In amidst your golden meadow
I shall delight with you again
Whilst I laze amongst your pastures
Sat designing my daisy chain

Sauntering in the splendid sunshine
As I while away the hours
The big ol’e sky is my blue canvas
Ne’er a risk of April showers

Let me slow down the ticks of time
As I dilly dally in a dream
Thinking only thoughts of childishness
Mindlessness of mundane regime

I shall not lift a busy finger
As I malinger betwixt the clovered leaf
Amidst the sunsilk of the corn field
With the yellow, orange sheaf

I thank thee Mother nature
You have graced me with your beauty
My pleasuretime has been fullfilled
As I adored thee in my duty
