My Dearest Angel

Your smile, like pearls
Sparkling in the morning light
Your laughter full of freedom,
Like bunnies hopping in the night.
Your eyes squinting blissfully
As you run around with friends.
To you, what are rules,
If not things that you can bend
Golden vines fall in rows
and dance among the autumn breeze.
In you tuck a pretty little leaf,
After staring at its beauty
With utter disbelief.
You have kindness in your heart
You see the good in all you know,
You have compassion in your soul
And you are caring in a way,
that others cannot show.
Your mind is full of wonders,
And you still have not yet grown
But you have a beautiful desire
To know what is unknown.
Wherever you end up, or wherever you may go
We will always be your family,
And this will always be a place
That you can call your home.

Beautiful poetry keep writing angel
Wow!!.....I wish my mom had spoken those words to me so many years ago.... and because of the lack of that feeling of family I struggled most of my life to find a place I could truly call home..... you definitely have a gift for the poetic with a strong sense of rhythm and timing and a grasp of the rhyme scheme you delivered so well here!!.....ALL STARS!!..... well done..... and......WELCOME to COSMO!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo. : )
This was so beautiful, loving and enduring. Gave me goosebumps at the end. It sounds like a very proud parent --letting them know they will always have a home. Inspiring.

What a soft image and tone, these two lines give to the rest of the poem. Well done again.
