My Everlasting Valentine

Remembering when I first heard your voice 6 months ago 

Was engaged with every word from your precious lips 

My expectations were low because I had been hurt deep before 

You were as beautiful as ever in your black flowing dress 

Was not expecting cupid to shoot arrows through my heart so dang fast 

The moment I first kissed you ,was an unexpected surprise 

Where were the feelings coming from ?

I thought I kept them all bottled inside 

Lightning was striking and was  opening up my once damaged heart 

Forever whatever reason after the date was thru , I could not get you out of my mind no matter what I tried 

The next was dancing and I sure did have a blast 

I did not know I could fall in love so fast 

Those 3 days in august have forever changed my life 

Was looking for a good friend not expecting  I would find my next wife 

I was blown away to say the very least 

From this day forward I promise to love you despite your pains of the past 

I know together we can make this love last
