My Father's Kid

My Father's Kid

I'm my father's kid,
Gamble with the highest bid.
Burn out over insignificance,
I was never taught balance.
"Chin up soldier,"Β
Now I hunch my shoulders.
My identity was stolen,
My destiny woven.
I'm destined to be my father,
But I strive for further.

P.S. Not too bad for a 6 year old kid...
