My Friend

My Friend

Will our paths ever cross again...my friend
We all must go but did our time have to end
Stricken by loneliness, adapting to pain
This urge to cry but I'm trying to refrain
Glimpes of tomorrow without you
There's so much more I needed to know about...you
I can ask questions to why
But no answer will do, so why even try
I wasn't ready for this
It's you I now miss
Will our paths ever cross again....my friend
Could this be a dream, make believe.....or pretend
The dust has settled but nothing seems clear
I need you here
I promised never to leave you
Now I must grieve...for you
I just can't  take this
Like a hoax, a prank....I just wished you faked this
I'm holding on to these memories until my life comes to an end
Thinking will our paths ever cross again.....my friend!

This works like chesse and onion, like strewberries and cream, like man and women.

Well done, well put together.

Keep writing and sharing. Enjoyed this. :)
